Four Bachelor of Business Communication (BBC) Jaguars are shortlisted among the top 20 students representing the Gulf Cooperation Council region to compete at Facebook UAE – Hack 4 Good – Inter University Competition at Dubai Lynx Festival of Creativity 2017.
The talented Jaguars included Kimberly Eliott, Komal Tawre, Natasja Klaire Pagulayan and Sachin Kapoor. These technical smarties got to visit Facebook’s UAE office, and were part of an interactive session with Facebook staff. Komal Tawre (missing in the group photo) was in India at at the time, but participated via Skype to join the discussion and meet fellow contestants.
The short-listed Jags will now go on to battle it out to develop an advertising campaign that fits the advertising needs of the Save the Children Fund, an NGO that focuses on Syrian refugee children. The students will use their passion for creativity and their technical skills to support a good cause in the Middle East. At the same time they will be mentored by Facebook employees and top advertising agencies. Their work will be showcased at one of the region’s biggest advertising festivals, Dubai Lynx Festival of Creativity 2017.
