Dancin’ the Night Away in Dubai

DATE: 1st December 2015
Categories: BBA Jan ‘14

All set for the BallTo celebrate the last day of lectures and the end of presentations, the BBA Batch of 2014 was invited to the S P Jain Annual Winter Ball. This year the ball was held at the Ramada Hotel in Bur Dubai. Theme for this year’s ball was ‘Casino Royale’ which meant the room was filled with gorgeous Bond girls and very dapper Mr. Bonds.

The night started off with student’s recognitions and awards headed by the Global Learning team. Students were recognised for various achievements as well as their contribution to the cohort this semester. The awards went to Abhijit Shedge, Mikhail Chowdhary, Noli Bostani, Samta Mutha, Tanvi Sabharwal, Maria Angela Pastoriza, Tran Tranh Tung, Ayush Jain, Saumya Choraria, Hardik Shah, Vardhan Taparia, Shivani Agarwal, Ankit Agarwal, and Nilesh Agrawal. The award ceremony was followed by a scrumptious dinner buffet.

The highlight of the night was definitely the spinning of variety of tracks from S P Jain’s very own BBA student – DJ Mr. BondsCloudy, who made everyone want to get up and dance. Overall the Winter Ball was a great way for the students to let loose and celebrate before the finals and the holidays in true James Bond style. It was a night filled with sparkly gowns, bowties, eating, laughing, singing, and a lot of dancing. It was indeed a perfect way to end the semester.

Student Says:
“The winter ball was much better than I anticipated, its venue and quality of food was extraordinary. Seeing everyone in beautiful dresses and nice suits meant SP Jain took the event seriously and in the end it turned out to be a pretty amazing event.”

“The winter ball made me feel like I was part of something really grand. The presence of elegance and young leaders was inevitable.”
