All six of the new Jags from Washington State, plus Ron from the Caribbean island of St Vincent (via Skype) partied at Megan Mitchell’s beach view home in Oak Harbor on June 19th. Getting to know each other was the prime priority — and that was easy, given the great food and relaxed setting.
Since all students were accompanied by their families, it was also a wonderful opportunity to ask questions of Prof Lesa, former dean of BBA, and Joel Silverberg, graduate of BBA10. As a special treat, all students got to Skype with Dean Brindha in Singapore, who was present via Skype. Ron’s mom had questions too. Ron was on the big screen TV during most of the party. Special foods included Megan’s dad’s award-winning grilled burgers, home-made jerk chicken and rice & peas from Jamaica cooked by Jevaughn’s dad; sweet tamales from Edgar’s mom, hand-made deviled eggs by Kenaia, and a complete luncheon spread by Megan’s mom.
During the Q&A session, Ron and his mother had questions too. 25 people, from 6 countries, and a whole lot of fun. Sounds just like S P Jain, doesn’t it?
