Noteworthy: For three years in a row, won the annual citywide-sponsored Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Student Essay Competition, with monetary prizes. Elected Freshman President, of Federal Way High School. Led the student body in various assemblies, including benevolence to the indigent, sport and dance events. President of Poetry Club and Unity Dance Club. Traveled to other schools to tutor junior and high school students in history and English. Dedicating 10 hours a week to mentor and support at-risk youth with EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.

Helped to pass a multimillion dollar building levy for high school.

Varsity basketball and track and field athlete for two years. Started own business at age 15 with younger brother, collecting garbage from residents in apartment dwellings that were often too tired to bring their refuse to the dumpster. Interned as a campaign aide in the summers of 2011 and 2012 to promote the elections of several city officials throughout the Greater Seattle area, all of which were successful, including City Councilman Bob Celski, father of the dynamic Olympic ice skater, J.R. Celski, and Washington State Representative Roger Freeman.

When not in school or out on the basketball court, volunteers with  nonprofit organizations like Freshest Roots. This Spoken Word group helps teenagers find themselves within and promotes "Keeping the roots alive!" Hosts an open mic every month and the turnout doubles every time. Was paid to motivate more than 500 boys at a youth conference held at Highline College, sharing personal story.

Feeds homeless men and women in Seattle’s Pioneer Square with 5-course meals prepared from family’s kitchen. Key player in the early formation of father's organization, “I Celebrate You,” honoring unsung heroes in a citywide gala affair. Enrolled in the prestigious Cambridge Program, the only school district west of the Mississippi to offer this rigorous standard.

Passions: Poetry, dancing, motivational speaking, soccer, basketball, and running hurdles.

Favorite book: “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. Favorite quote: “Inspire the young, lead my peers, and gain respect from the ones who paved the way.”
